Valentine's Day Hot Cocoa Jars

Since we had lots of leftover hot cocoa mix and marshmallows from Santa Train, we decided to do a Valentine's Day Hot Cocoa Jars program.

Patrons were invited to decorate a pint jar and layer hot cocoa mix, sprinkles, chocolate chips, and marshmallows for a fun Valentine's Day gift.

From the Dollar Tree, we got twine, ribbon, and felt heart stickers to decorate the jars. We had some leftover tags to add, and I put out some red, pink, and black markers if they wanted to write on the tags.

From Wal-Mart we got an assortment of Valentine's Day themed sprinkles, and a bag of chocolate chips.

We found the heart shaped marshmallows at the Dollar Tree. I had intended it to be a teen/adult activity, but it worked well for kids, too! We had patrons of all ages come in to make one--they turned out very cute!
