Pet Rocks

I did this as an easy fill-in activity that fit the Libraries Rock Summer Reading theme... but we had 75 people show up. I ran out of tables and chairs, but I didn't run out of rocks!

Craft supplies included paint, lots of different sizes and colors of pompoms, yarn, feathers, pipe cleaners, and googly eyes. And hot glue guns. I had all the materials on hand already, and I got the rocks from outside, so the only thing I ended up buying for this event was some extra glue sticks for the hot glue guns.

A few examples from our patrons.
