Pete the Cat Visit & Story Time

As part of our Libraries Rock 2018 Summer Reading Program, we had a visit from Pete the Cat, complete with Story Time and craft!

We purchased our own Pete costume, although a costume is available for rent at Costume Specialists. I downloaded Eric Litwin reading "I Love My White Shoes" while holding the book open for the kids. I did it this way so Pete could dance to the music in the song intervals. And also because I could play the mp3 as loud as needed.

I also made up little Pete the Cat activity books with various pages from PetetheCat.com for the kids.

Instead of my Paper Plate Pete Craft, this time I opted to use a template from CraftyPammy. It was better for a crowd and fit our book choice.

I used our poster printer to put a few pictures of Pete on the walls, and use Pete-blue tablecloths for our craft tables.

I had to make the little speech bubbles myself. I used the font Pea Kar Kar, which was also what I used on the flyer.
