Earth Day with The Lorax
Dr. Seuss's The Lorax will visited three of our libraries for Earth Day to make a Lorax pot and plant a flower.
We purchased our costume from Ali Express.
Our small flower pots were plastic and we attached the yarn mustache, eyebrows, pom pom, and googly eyes with permanent Glue Dots. While the kids worked and took pictures with The Lorax, we watched the 70s cartoon adaptation. The book was just too long for a read aloud.
We measured out some potting soil in baggies and included a packet of seeds. We also had some Lorax activity pages on hand that were printed from Seussville.
This program was part of the East KY Remake Learning Days festival.
