Boo! at the Story Trail

Read "Ghost Afraid of the Dark" by Alex Willmore and Sara Conway and find a ghost along the trail for a spooky treat! At the end of the trail, make a glowing balloon ghost like Boo in the story.

We 3D printed some small glow-in-the-dark ghosts to "hide" along the trail. Kids got to keep them (one per child!). If they found one--or if they didn't--they got a ghost lollipop at the end of the trail. Our balloon ghosts were white balloons with a small light inserted before inflation. Kids drew on a face, we attached them to a balloon stick, and they added white streamers.

It was great fun! Some kids even wore their Halloween costumes.
