Story Time: Cows

The Cow Loves Cookies by Karma Wilson is a repetitive rhyming story with simple illustrations. It's a little long for my crowd, but the story is sweet. I paired it with two very short books, Wow It's a Cow by Trudy & Jay Harris which is a lift-the-flap book and Everywhere the Cow Says "Moo!" by Ellen Slusky Weinstein. Be prepared for lots of mooing. :)

For the craft, we made paper plate cows. I put together this cow template for the head, legs, and tail which I had pre-cut for the kids to glue onto half a paper plate. I gave them some black construction paper and scissors (always a crowd-pleaser) for them to cut spots however they liked.
