Monster Story Time

For Monster Story Time, we read Ed Emberley's "Go Away Big Green Monster" and "I'm Looking for a Monster!" by Timothy Young. Then the kids helped retell "Go Away Big Green Monster" with the hand puppet (which they loved).

The craft was Make Your Own Monster. I print and cut different features from the free downloads available at the blogs Somewhat Simple and Just Plum Crazy. I limited their options, but I was still pretty impressed with how creative the kids got, like using wings for feet or horns as eyebrows.
